Privacy Policy

Last updated August 19, 2026

SomaCheck is a Sensie brand and service. This policy explains how Sensie, LLC ("Sensie," "we," or "us") handles information when you use the SomaCheck iOS app, connect an AI agent, or use related services. It supplements Sensie's Privacy Policy with details specific to SomaCheck. SomaCheck provides a signal for you to consider; you decide what it means and what happens next.

Information we handle

  • Account information: name, email address, user identifier, authentication records, and account preferences.
  • Check-in and calibration information: brief accelerometer and gyroscope samples, derived features, the statement you checked, the app's interpretation, confidence and capture-quality information, your separate feedback, session history, and self-care activity.
  • Optional gesture diagnostics: if you turn on Share gesture diagnostics, SomaCheck also sends a continuous motion trace around check-ins and calibration to help us evaluate gesture reliability. This is off by default and check-ins work when it is off.
  • Context you choose to connect: bounded summaries from enabled sources. For Photos, analysis happens on the iPhone and SomaCheck may store derived themes, counts, confidence, and time windows; it does not upload the photos, image files, faces, photo identifiers, locations, or individual photo metadata.
  • Linked-agent information: connection identifiers, agent-provided statements and context summaries, delivery state, and the check-in result returned to an agent you approved. Revoking a connection stops future access but cannot erase information already received by that agent or its provider.
  • Voice self-care information: microphone audio, conversation content, and optional profile context you provide, such as your first name, focus areas, and breathing conditions, when you start a voice session.
  • Device, notification, and usage information: device and installation identifiers, app version, operating-system information, notification token and delivery state, app interactions, analytics, performance data, diagnostics, and crash information needed to operate and improve SomaCheck.

How we use information

We use information to provide and personalize check-ins, calibrate the gesture experience to your baseline, maintain your account and Journey, deliver statements and results between your phone and approved agents, operate optional context and voice features, secure and troubleshoot the service, understand feature performance, and respond to support requests.

SomaCheck does not sell personal information, use it for third-party advertising, or track you across other companies' apps or websites.

AI and connected-agent features

The current in-app baseline proposition generator sends OpenAI only a fixed, context-free instruction asking for a general first-person statement. It does not send your account information, photo summaries, linked-agent context, check-in history, or other private context to OpenAI. SomaCheck configures that API request with store: false; OpenAI's own service logs and retention practices remain governed by its terms. A generated statement and a bounded usage receipt are stored with your SomaCheck account.

When you approve an AI-agent connection, that agent can send bounded statements, share bounded context only after you enable context for that connection, and receive results for its requests. The connected agent and its provider handle information they receive under their own terms and privacy practices.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, SomaCheck stores a push token and uses Apple Push Notification service to deliver agent statements and related status. A statement may appear on your lock screen according to your iOS notification-preview settings. You can disable notifications or previews in iOS Settings.

Service providers

We use service providers to run SomaCheck. Current providers include Supabase for hosting, authentication, database, and server functions; Mixpanel for product analytics; Sentry for crash and performance diagnostics; ElevenLabs for optional live voice sessions; OpenAI for the context-free baseline proposition described above; and Apple for push-notification delivery and App Store services. These providers process information to perform services for SomaCheck under their terms and our configuration.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, or as part of a business transaction with appropriate safeguards.

On-device and account-scoped data

Some history, calibration, classifier, and context state is stored on your device. Signed-in data is scoped to the account that created it and separated by account on the device. Signing out does not erase that account's local history; another account cannot read it. Deleting an account removes that account's scoped local data from that device after server deletion succeeds.

Retention and deletion

We retain information while needed to provide the service, meet security and legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Context capsules have an active-use expiration, generally no more than seven days; expiration prevents active use but is not the same as immediate erasure. You can revoke a source and delete its derived data in Connect Context.

You can delete your SomaCheck account in Profile → Delete Account. When the request succeeds, SomaCheck deletes the authentication account and directly user-owned app records, then removes that account's local scoped data. Processor security logs, analytics events, voice-conversation records, and backup copies may follow separate limited retention and deletion schedules. Contact us from the account email if you want us to coordinate an access or deletion request with our processors. We do not claim that disconnecting an agent or deleting an account retroactively deletes information already received by an independent connected-agent provider.

Your choices

You can control motion, Photos, microphone, and notification access in iOS Settings. You can keep optional gesture diagnostics off, revoke an agent or context source in the app, delete source-derived data, or delete your account. You can request access, correction, or deletion by emailing hi@joinsensie.com. Rights vary by location.

Children

SomaCheck is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate permission, contact us so we can address it.

Security, international processing, and changes

We use technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, but no system is completely secure. Service providers may process information in countries other than your own. We may update this policy; the effective date above identifies the current version.
